Let’s just face it, nobody pays attention to the sound of a car alarm going off anymore, and thieves know it!  So notifying you directly of an intrusion, rather than just making a bunch of noise, is now the name of the game.  There are many ways of accomplishing this, such as having a system installed that utilizes a two-way paging remote control that will actually beep and vibrate to get your attention while showing you on its LCD screen exactly what has happened.  Or, you could link your car up to your smartphone and receive a text message, email or push alert when the alarm is triggered and you can even track the vehicle’s location on your phone’s map!  All of these features are very cool and should help you get some rest at night, but only when the system is properly installed.
