Not to state the obvious, but the devices we carry around in our pockets or briefcases are capable of so much, sometimes it just makes the most sense to use that for your car radio…right?! In this particular vehicle, we replaced the factory radio with a Sony MEX-GS610 single din radio that hides oh so cleverly behind an iPad mini which mounts into a custom built housing modified to fit the dash. We also upgraded the sound in this vehicle using an Audison Bit Ten D to control all of the audio processing and equalization and a Hertz HDP5 5 channel amplifier that is running the factory front component speakers and subwoofer. With this setup, not only can you use all of the features of the iPad mini right there at your fingertips, you can also utilize the Sony App Remote application for the iPad to control all of the functionality of the Sony radio from the iPad touch screen! How cool is that?
