Our clientele at Handcrafted Car Audio all have one thing in common: They are all drivers. No matter what they are in control of – cars, trucks, motorcycles or boats – we know that each and every one of them wants to be safe. We have many collision avoidance technologies that can dramatically improve your personal safety and the safety of those in and around your vehicle. Let’s look at a few different products that can act as your co-pilot.
The Mobileye-560 system uses a high-quality video camera and state-of-the-art computer image processing to alert you to driving challenges. It will let you know if you are getting too close to a vehicle or if another car or a person may be about to cross your path. It will alert you if you are leaving your lane. Sure, that sounds sort of like a back-seat driver, but a little extra help is never a bad thing.
Mobile Eye can even take control of your high beams – turning them on and off as required to keep you safe without blinding oncoming drivers. If you spend much time driving on rural roads, this is an amazing feature.
We have many different camera systems available. The simplest of these systems is a rear vision camera that displays an image of what is behind your vehicle when you are backing up. We can install additional blind-spot cameras that are activated when you change lanes. What about a forward-facing camera on a work truck to help you navigate tight parking lots? We can integrate the camera image into some factory information displays, or we can add a secondary display such as a rearview mirror with an integrated screen. We stock plug-n-play camera systems for many Toyota, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC vehicles.
Beep-beep-beep – as you approach an object, our parking sensor systems produce a tone that increases in frequency. The sound finally becomes solid when you are within a foot or so of an object. Some of the more elaborate offerings have distance displays, and we have many systems that are built into a replacement rearview mirror.
You may be asking yourself how a radar detector could help you drive more safely. Police often target highway locations where they want you to slow down. It could be a particularly dangerous stretch of road where there have been many accidents. It could also be a school or construction zone. Our radar and laser detection systems will give you as much warning as possible when the police are using speed-measurement devices. In the worst case, knowing the police are there will keep you from slamming on the brakes suddenly.
There are many more options. Even a basic convenience system like Bluetooth Hands-free will help you stay focused on your driving. More advanced voice control is offered by Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Improved vehicle lighting can also help prevent collisions.
No matter what you want, Handcrafted Car Audio can install, calibrate and test them all. Our MECP Certified technicians are highly trained and use the best possible tools, materials and techniques to ensure that your installation will be completely reliable.
