We were contacted by La Mesa RV about installing a Mobileye unit on a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter RV that they were preparing to sell to a customer of theirs. Mobileye is a safety company that makes collision avoidance systems. For this installation, we installed a Mobileye 560. We placed the camera as far down on the glass as we could to keep it out of view and placed the display as close to the field of view as we could without blocking any factory displays.
We configured this system for the Mobileye 560’s Headway Monitoring and Warning mode. This mode will sound an alert if the driver is approaching another vehicle too quickly. Its Lane Departure Warning mode will give an alert if you drift outward toward other lanes. The Intelligent High Beam function will also automatically turn on the high beams once the vehicle is traveling above 35 mph. It detects darkness in front of the vehicle and, as long as the camera determines there is no vehicle in front of the driver, the high beams remain on, under automatic control.
Once any of these conditions cease to be met and there’s no longer a safety hazard, the high beams will automatically shut off with no driver intervention needed. However, if you wish, you can turn the high beams off manually with the factory switch. These features are especially beneficial for RVs, given the typical long drives and risk of fatigue, as well as a greater risk of injury in general navigating of the vehicle due to its size.
Mobileye is a fantastic, unique safety solution. We would be happy to outfit your vehicle with your very own Mobileye collision avoidance system today. Contact Us here!

We have purchased a sprinter in Michigan and will be in Phoenix this winter. I would like to know if you still install Mobileye and the cost. Any suggestions about this type of system would be appreciated.
Thanks, Terry
