The 3 most important things to consider when looking for a high end sound system:
- Adjustability – The inside of a vehicle is a difficult place to reproduce music accurately. You have hard and soft surfaces that will reflect or absorb sound, you have area in which sound will get trapped or boosted and you have speakers in all kinds of different places. To correct for all of these inadequacies, you have to have a certain level of control over your audio system. We tackle this job with the Bit line of processors by Audison which give us 31 bands of equalization, multiple crossover configurations and time alignment right at our fingertips so that we can make your music sound the way the artist intended it to, like a concert in your car!
- Separation – All of our Concert Car packages feature a 5 channel amplifier to power the whole system This configuration allows us to power the tweeters, midrange speakers and subwoofers independently of each other so that we can control the level of each pair of speakers more accurately than with a traditional passive system. This is a huge benefit for people with hearing loss in particular frequency ranges or if you simply like more midrange than tweeter, but that’s the point, we have all the control we need to build a system just for you.
- Integration – Maybe you are in the market for a whole new radio with all the latest technology, or maybe you’d rather stick with your factory radio because it already has that. Either way, a properly designed high end audio system should be able to integrate completely with the radio to make the user interface seamless and painless. Our systems were actually designed to integrate with the factory radio in the vehicle, whether it has the factory amplifier or not and they can even interface with systems that have volume-dependent audio effects. There is no vehicle that we can’t make sound like a concert!
Having great products is one thing…
Knowing how to install them correctly makes all the difference in the world! When it comes to installing your audio upgrade, we don’t leave anything to chance. Our amplifier installation exceeds your expectations by running new wire from the amplifier mounting location, directly to the speakers rather than taking the factory wire run. This cuts down on total run length and increases the size of the wire feeding current to your speakers which is beneficial much like putting out a fire with a fire hose instead of a harden hose! But we don’t stop there, because your amplifier installation is not done until it is tuned right? To do this, we use an oscilloscope to verify that the amplifier is producing as much clean power as it can, allowing us to guarantee your product against premature failure. If you do decide to upgrade your speakers, we solder our terminals, seal the speaker to the door with open cell foam and even apply sound deadener behind the speaker to stop vibrations. We may not be the cheapest by a long shot, but we are the best, by even longer!
As I said above, one of the keys to a high end sound system is the ability to customize the sound for your tastes in particular. The way we accomplish this is by getting a nice reference to play for you using tools of the trade such as Real Time Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and Multimeters. With these devices we create an initial tune for your sound system that is specific to the style of music you listen to and the shape of your vehicle. From there, we will sit you don in the vehicle and play you a few tracks. We will then ask for your thoughts about the sound and if there is anything that you might like a little more or less of and if the individual instruments sound well placed. We make our changes in real time and once you are satisfied, you are free to start hearing things in your music you never heard before!
