The 3 most important things to consider in an iPod integration system:
- Wired vs Wireless – The cheap things on the shelves at Walmart are wireless devices. They take your iPod audio and broadcast it as a radio station but, since they do not have a very strong signal, they are easily overcome by other stations and you get poor sound quality and interference. Wired devices take this scenario completely out of the picture by inputting your iPod audio directly into the radio so there will be no loss of audio or interference from other stations. All of our iPod integration kits are wired, not wireless.
- Control – Some people like to make their song selections through their radio, some like to do it on their device itself. With our systems, you get to make the decision, because we have both solutions for most vehicles.
- Charging – The only thing worse than not having a way to play your iPod in your car, is having a way, but your iPod battery is dead! That is why we have chosen only iPod integration kits that will keep your iPods battery topped off the whole time it is plugged in so you won’t ever be without your tunes, in the car or out!
Having great products is one thing…
but the real value of iPod or media device integration is in the careful placement of your connection to the device and it’s integration with the radio. Imagine finally getting your iPod playing in your car only to have it stop working in the middle of a road trip because of a rushed or inexperienced install…frustrating! With any of our installations, we use a strong, wire to wire connection, not those plastic connectors you may have heard about and we always secure the components inside the dash so that the chances that your new toy might let you down are very slim.
