A client from Phoenix, Arizona, came to Handcrafted for some Harley-Davidson lighting upgrades and audio on his 2003 Fat Boy. The need for great music while riding is self-explanatory – it just makes each and every ride better.
We installed an Alpine CD player in the front fairing of the Fat Boy. We added a water-resistant cover to protect the radio. We also installed new speakers and an amplifier. On a bike, having a good, stable amplifier is the difference between being able to hear your music on the highway or just hearing distortion.
We upgraded all the lighting on the bike with LED bulbs from GTR and Supernova. The new headlight, tail light and rear brake lights are much brighter. In the front, we installed switchback lights in the turn signals. These lights are white during normal operation but switch to amber when the turn signals are activated. While the lights were apart, we installed clear lens covers to enhance the two-color effect.
The client loved the new look of the lights and how great the audio system sounded.
